McLoughlin Still On Course For Grand-Slam
Paddy Mc Loughlin is still on course for the grand-slam of premier tournaments on Ireland's American 8 & 9 Ball Pool Tour after his second premier event victory in Galway when the ginger magician defeated Antrim's Stephen Johnson in the final 13-6 to claim the 2007 Connaught Open 9-Ball Pool Championship adding to his Ulster open title win back in January in Belfast.
Paddy was in tremendous form throughout the tournament starting it all off with a bye in the last-32 before recording victories over Barry O' Sullivan (Sligo, last-16, 10-5) Gareth Deegan (Dublin, ¼-finals, 10-4) Richard Berrie (Scotland, semi-finals, 11-6) and Stephen Johnson (Antrim) in the final on a 13-6 score-line….
Another fine performance from the Co. Down player who also extends his number one position in the official rankings as Ireland's number one ranked 9-ball player.
