The Ginger Magician picked up his third premier event title with well earned results before he faced defeat in the final, winning five rounds to be crowned champion over Eddie Smith (Meath, 10-3), Declan O’ Reilly (Dublin, 10-3), Declan Hughes (Armagh, 10-6), before being involved in a tough tussle with Tristan Byrne in the semi-finals coming from 4-2 down before winner 11-8 to reach his third premier event final…..
So as the grand-final got underway in the 2007 Irish 9Ball Masters it was the Ginger Magician who raced into a 6-2 lead over Antrim’s Stephen Johnston but the Antrim cueist didn’t let Paddy have things all his own way by clawing back into the match with some brilliant displays of pool running three racks in a-row to leave the match all square at ten racks each…

Damien Corrigan, Stephen Johnston (runner-up),
Paddy Mc Loughlin (winner) and Tristan Byrne
Once again Paddy open up another two rack lead only to see Stephen level the scores once again at 12-12 going into the final and deciding rack with the Antrim cueist breaking off,'and what a break it was which seen the 9ball rolling for the top right hand side bulk pocket only to get a slide nudge where it just sit over the edge of the pocket before the Ginger Magician stepped up and run three balls before planting the four-ball onto the 9ball to claim victory and crowned the 2007 Irish 9Ball Masters Champion…..
